Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi 
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour with Hanoi Kids with cyclo and water puppet show
Day 3: Bat Trang Ceramics Village 1/2 Day with buffalo cart ride
Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay Cruising
Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi
Day 6: Hanoi - Attending a Cooking Class

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi  
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Hanoi.  

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour 1/2 Day & Water puppet show 
The morning is at leisure.  

The afternoon is accompanied by a Hanoi kids who guides you to the key attraction of Hanoi as your wish, you can include 2 up to 4 sites for the afternoon.
 

Go for a cyclo ride with the kids through the crazy streets of Hanoi. This is one of the thrilling things to do in Hanoi with children. Take in the sights, smells and sounds of this very busy city! Stop for ice cream at one of the shops. Vietnamese ice cream is delicious with interesting fruit flavors. Or try one of the delicious French bakeries for a sweet treat with the kids. 

Tour ends with a 50-minute water puppet performance - a popular Vietnamese art form originating from the Red River Delta in northern Vietnam. 


Note: Hanoi Kids is a student led organization. They provide free tour guides that will accompany you to the sights. The students get the chance to practice their English and learn aboutother cultures and you get the inside scoop on Hanoi. As they don't accept payment you may want to bring a gift from your country for your guide.

Day 3: Make your own ceramics in Bat Trang 1/2 Day  
This morning a short drive will take your family to Bat Trang Ceramics making village. Stop at a workshop to learn about the process of making fine ceramics. Then embark on a buffalo card ride through the village to Bat Trang ceramics market with hundreds of stalls where you can purchase small items to bring home as gift. Enjoyed a guided walk through narrow alley in the quaint part of the village is a great way to see how daily life is lived in a Vietnamese village. Stop at a small workshop for learning tomake your own ceramics following the traditional way. After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in the village, return to the city. The afternoon will be your own!

Overnight in Hanoi 

Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Bay 
This morning drive 3,5 hours to Halong Bay through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta. On arrival, embark on a 24 hour cruise in Halong Bay. Enjoy the stunning views of the Bay, its dramatic limestone islands as we sail through the calm waters while enjoying seafood lunch.

Cruise to Bai Tu Long Bay and your first stop will be Vong Vieng floating fishing village where you will disembark and hop on a sampan rowed by the local peoplethrough their fishing village. Meet the locals, visit the school and pearl farms. See at first-hand what life is like living on the water. Then back on board the Paloma to continue the journey towards Halong Bay. Weather permitting, you may choose to swimkayak, sunbath on deck or pamper yourself with a massage and sauna. Enjoy the sunset with evening cocktails and fresh fruit. Dinner is served in the restaurant or outdoor dining area, which is a gastronomic delight. 

After dinner, unwind in the bar where there is a selection of books, magazines and board games or relax in the spa; watch a movie on our plasma TV; join some of our team to go cutler fishing at night.

Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi
For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck. Tai chi and take an opportunity to view the sunrise over the Bay.
  

After breakfast you cruise through a number of caves including Trong (Drum) cave, Trinh Nu (Virgin) cave, Coc Ngoi (Toad) cave. Drop anchor at Surprise (Sung Sot) Cave where you disembark and visit Surprise Cave located on Bo Hon Island. It is one of the widest grottoes in Ha Long Bay with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites.   

Then time to refresh and relax before checking out, followed by a brunch. At 12.00, disembark where your private vehicle will take you to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 6: Hanoi - Attending a Cooking Class
Today is spent at a Hanoi cookery centre where you will learn how to cook Vietnamese foods. The class begins with a visit to nearby market where you will learn how to choose fresh ingredients for your dishes, led by an English speaking chef. Then return to the centre to begin your hand-on cooking lesson. 

As for kids, let them join the Kids Club which is a fun way for kids to learn about food and to do some simple cooking. This class allows your kids to roll up their sleeves and explore their creativity in a supervised environment. After the class kids can stay on and have their face painted. After lunch, your afternoon is at leisure.

Day 7: Depart Hanoi
  

Your time will be free at leisure until being picked up for a departure flight.
